Henry J. Ortiz

Henry J. Ortiz, Psy.D. is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Psychologist. His private practice and offices are located in West Los Angeles and Santa Monica. Since 2004, he has specialized in working with clients experiencing work/life stress, as well as anxiety, depression, life transitions, and communication/relationship issues. He is highly trained as a Gestalt therapist, as well as in psychodynamic therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, and mindfulness-based therapy.

More personally, Dr. Ortiz is a Los Angeles native of Latino descent, who has traveled through over 45 countries, and is a semi-professional photographer with a fascination of indigenous cultures.

Before becoming a psychologist, Dr. Ortiz received his undergraduate degree in business at the University of Southern California. He helped develop SoftKat, a software distribution company that distributed gaming software nationwide to companies such as Costco, CompUSA, Best Buy, and Fry’s Electronics. After three years in the software business, Henry decided he wanted to be more involved in helping others have successful and loving lives of their own, and returned to school to train to be a psychologist. He prefers and loves this career!
