Svend Lerche

Music is life for Danish born Drummer Svend Lerche who is not only a very skilled musician but one of the most creative and passionate Drummers there is.  Coming from his almost purely classical “Haugland” Family with opera singer Aage Haugland, bassoonist Signe Haugland and his mom violinist Inger-Magrethe Haugland, Svend Grew up with Music in his veins. He was drawn to music and drums became his  center of attention already at the age of eight years old when he got he’s first drum set. From then on mom paid for lessons on both drums, piano and vocals. Svend was already as a teenager very active on the local music scene and played with Danish artist such as Gry Trampedach and as many bands he could possibly find time for. America became a reality when he was accepted into Berkleee College of Music in from There he went to MI in Los Angeles where he even before completing the course was asked to become part of the teaching staff. Svend quickly became a busy working drummer in LA. Doing sessions and shows all over town while still being able to focus and commit to one or two bands at the time. Svend Lerche is first and for most a song driven musician who loves writing, producing and the band oriented side of music. That being said his session and touring credits includes Katy Perry, Robbie Krieger, VH1, Garrison Starr (Vanguard), Paul Oakenfold, Bonnie McKee (Warner), The Troys (Electra), Kendall Payne, And Carina Round (Interscope). Former bands include Ocianic (warner), OneThousand Pictures (Columbia). Svend is currently busy playing with The Daylights. In this Amazing band Svend has the opportunity to not only lay down his solid groove but also song write and use his production skills in relation to recording and running ProTools and Abelton Live.
We formed a California corporation for Svend’s new band, Elektrik People.
